Disability Justice & Implicit Bias CLE

The MBA will apply for two hours of Access to Justice MCLE credit and one hour of the New Mental Health Substance Abuse MCLE credit
 
Join the MBA Equity Diversity & Inclusion Committee for a three-hour CLE focused on disability justice and implicit bias. This program is for attorneys with lived experience of disability as well as non-disabled lawyers and judges wishing to add a disability lens to their understanding of equity and inclusion.
 
Topics to be covered:
 

  • The Psychology of Disability 
Professor Kathleen Rives Bogart, Ph.D. conducts research and teaches about the psychology of disability at Oregon State University.
 
  • Implicit Bias and Disability
Yesenia Gutierrez is the Director of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity and Deputy Title IX Coordinator at Portland State University. She is on the Board of Disability Rights Oregon.
 
  • Microaggressions & Disability Justice
Barbara J. Diamond is an attorney, filmmaker and diversity trainer. She will show her film, Zoom In, and discuss microaggressions and disability justice concepts.
