YLS Futures Committee

The YLS Futures Committee was formed in 2008 to identify and study issues surrounding the "Generation Gap." The Committee writes articles, organizes events, and is in the process of developing model policies in order to help the MBA, YLS, and the local practice of law evolve smoothly and efficiently. Alternative Fee Agreements CLE

The Futures Committee presented an Alternative Fee Agreements CLE on April 28, 2010 at The University of Oregon School of Law White Stag Building. Panelists include Ted Simpson of Samuels Yoelin Kantor, Jason Hirshon of Slinde and Nelson, Jonah Paisner, Attorney at Law, Sheila Fox Morrison of Davis Wright Tremaine and Sally Fraser of Standard Insurance with Aaron Bals of Harrang Long Gary Rudnick moderating the discussion. YLS Young Lawyers Summit

On March 5, 2009, the YLS held a Young Lawyers Summit to discuss diversity and other issues facing today's young lawyers and to brainstorm about ways to improve the practice of law and quality of life. The Futures Committee is currently reviewing the ideas that were produced by the Summit and determining how to move forward.
