Young Lawyers Section (YLS) - Events

The YLS Membership Committee organizes a variety of social events for young lawyers. From casual drop-in socials to networking socials with other professional groups to a social with local judges, these events are excellent opportunities to network, meet new people and catch up with those you haven't seen for awhile — and have fun! Please join us for the following events:

Oregon Humane Society Community Service Day - Saturday, May 10

Please join the YLS Service to the Public Committee at the Oregon Humane Society on Saturday, May 10 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Family, friends and children over the age of 12 are welcome to join us. Our volunteer sessions will give the animals the attention they need and the social skills to help them find new homes. To volunteer or for more information, please email Gina Delahunt.

DoveLewis Community Service Day - Saturday, May 17

Please join the YLS Service to the Public Committee at the Lucky Lab Brew Hall located at 1945 NW Quimby on Saturday, May 17 from 10:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. We’ll join animal lovers from all over the Portland area to get dirty dogs squeaky clean. Family, friends and children over the age of 16 are welcome to join us. Volunteers are needed to wash and dry dogs as well as help with registration. YLS Drop-in Social - Thursday, May 29

The YLS Membership Committee will hold a Drop-in Social at Thirst Wine Bar (315 SW Montgomery St.) at RiverPlace from 5:30-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 29. This casual get-together is a great opportunity to meet and network with young lawyers in the area. Gourmet cheeses will be provided to complement the wine. Thirst validates parking for the garage on Montgomery.
