Three Multnomah County Judicial Vacancies Announced

Application Deadline Extended to January 26, 2009

Judge Frank Bearden retires from the bench effective January 1, 2009 and Judges Dale Koch and Marshall Amiton are retiring effective February 1, 2009. Governor Ted Kulongoski is now accepting applications for the three Multnomah County Circuit Court vacancies.

 

Any lawyer interested in applying for the position must submit an Interest Form for Judicial Appointments to the Governor’s office by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 26, to: Kelly Skye, General Counsel, Office of the Governor, 900 Court St NE, Salem OR 97301. Applicants also need to complete the MBA form to be considered for its “highly qualified” listing.

 

The MBA Judicial Screening Committee will review applications based on its own process. The MBA application and a copy of the completed Governor’s form should be sent to MBA Judicial Screening Committee, 620 SW 5th Ave Ste 1220, Portland OR 97204 by 5 p.m. on Monday, January 26.
